Icelandic cows

Icelandic cows came to the island with settlers and didn't change from this time, as there was no or little import of other breeds to the country. The Icelandic cow is rather small and comes in all sorts of colors. Because of the short summer Icelandic cows are housed 8 moths per year. 95% of Icelandic cows are born without horns. 3% to 5% are born with the genetics for growing horns. They are not docked, but horn - less bulls are selected for insemination to avoid it.
